High ranking British army officers have echoed the warnings from a Norwegian general who has stated that we might only be 3 years away from war with Russia.

In the last week the parlous state of Britain's armed forces, marked by the steep decline in actual soldiers in the frontline, together with high levels of sub-standard and under-supplied equipement, has sent alarm bells ringing.

Calls have been made for the recruitment of a "citizen army" to bolster  Britain's flagging military effectiveness. One former general advised that Britain needs more Christians in the ranks, too.

We now have a lame duck government as the voters await an autumn election, its highly unlikely that these deficiencies in Britain"s defences  will be addressed in the immediate future.
