The Contempt by Parliament of the Constitution 1972 and 1992

The vote that was lost by the Government on the “contempt of Parliament” and the whole debate regarding the sovereignty of Parliament over Brexit did not and has not taken cognizance of the original contempt by Parliament itself of the Constitution in 1972 and 1992, i.e., “The Queen-in-Parliament under God” and the Coronation Oath 1953 (Act).

Royal Assent was given to the European Communities Act 1972 on 17 October, 1972, the same day that Her Majesty was manoeuvered to be out of the country in the then Yugoslavia, so avoiding a requested audience by a former Moderator of the Church of Scotland (Lord MacLeod of Fuinary) to discuss the woefully defective and unconstitutional ratification of the ECA.  

The Queen herself was made ‘a citizen of Europe,’ triumphantly announced by John Major in the House of Commons on 11 February, 1993, thus raising a foreign court above the Crown. The Irish Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD, interviewed at the EU Gothenburg Social Summit on 17 November, 2017 (accession of Elizabeth I in 1558), said that Britain’s Brexit negotiations with the EU are ‘a divorce’ process. Constitutionally, for this to be a divorce process, there has of necessity to have been a lawful marriage in the first instance.

Treason by instalments, or a slow coup d’état, is not the basis for lawful marriage, especially if it is a bigamous one in the first place. In all reality what developed in 1972 was not a marriage of the United Kingdom with the then EEC, but an unconstitutional liaison. This ‘marriage’ with alien powers did not comply with our national covenants under the Coronation Oath 1953 (Act) and seven or eight great statutes of the Realm, as none of them were repealed, causing an ever-increasing conflict on the Statute Book.

This process of political stealth undermined the constitution which according to R v Thistlewood 1820 is an act of treason.

Britain’s membership of the EU came through deception at the highest political level under the Heath Administration and under all subsequent Administrations. Constitutionally, the Crown has been ‘deceived in its grants.’

Over the subsequent 46 years and particularly since 1992 in respect of the political union under the Maastricht Treaty, Britain has been in a state of national unfaithfulness to its lawful husband – ‘the Queen-in-Parliament under God.’

Thus, what is happening in the Brexit negotiations is not a divorce, but the annulment of a state of national adultery and the return of the nation to our lawful marital state under the British Constitution. 

On 8 September, 2018, in the Mail on Sunday, the former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson attacked Theresa May’s Chequers proposal, saying she had “wrapped a suicide vest” around the British constitution and “handed the detonator” to Brussels. His choice of words was heavily criticized.  In point of fact the truth is the explosive was wrapped around the constitution by Prime Minister Edward Heath in 1972, the detonator being handed to Brussels on 7 February, 1992, when the Treaty of Maastricht was signed in the Netherlands under Prime Minister John Major. Margaret Thatcher, who actively opposed the Maastricht Treaty, declared in a speech in the House of Lords that she “could never have signed that Treaty.”

On 23 June, 2016, at the second European Referendum (the first one taking place on 5 June, 1975) the detonator was disconnected by the British Electorate. If now the detonator was to be reconnected, in a third Referendum, reversing the decision of 17.4 million people, Britain would be committed to return to bondage in the EU under a growing federal dictatorship; committed to we know not what as the entanglement of more years of unconstitutional alien Civil Law government would intensify. In the end, future generations would literally have to fight their way out to regain Britain’s sovereign independence under the Common Law upheld by Commonwealth countries.

The very fact that it has taken some 11,000 civil servants two and a half years to untangle very many thousands of Directives and Regulations proves how mistaken was the original decision by Parliament to join the supranational Project Europe.

The United Kingdom made a “covenant with death” on 28 October, 1971 (1662 Book of Common Prayer Lesson for 28 October is Isaiah 28:9-16), by a ‘decision in principle’ to join the then EEC, which by stealth and deception became the political EU at Maastricht on 7 February, 1992 – the 40th anniversary of The Queen’s first full day as Sovereign (no Referendum on this supreme issue was even considered).

On 5 December, 2018, as the Brexit debate was under way in the House of Commons, the 1662 Book of Common Prayer Lesson was the entire chapter of Isaiah 28 where the “covenant with death” is “disannulled” (v.18) that is, made null and void. Thus has Almighty God spoken to the nation.

The need at this moment is for the nation to hear the words: “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD which he will show to you today” (Exodus 14:13). Also, let us be under no doubt whatsoever that in the words of Psalm 118:23, quoted by Elizabeth I when she heard of her accession, following her near execution and the persecutions of the nation under Rome by Mary I, “This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.”
